Going Green at Madley

The Eco Warriors have been busy again this week helping our school to become a greener school and completing projects in the hope that they will earn the school our Green Flag Award.

Each class has planted up their class tub with a selection of flowering plants and some classes and our After School Club have sown vegetable seeds and planted some small vegetable seedlings. They will take responsibility for looking after their plants through the Summer Term. Thank you again to Homebase, parents and the PTA for funding this child initiated project.

You may have seen our new Bronze Barrow shaped hedge on the Red Playground. We hope that this will grow into an area where children will be able to sit quietly and chat. If you have any large logs that could be used as seats and are happy to donate any to the school they would be much appreciated.
